There are now four separate editions of Parents News: the original in Southwest London and Surrey (1993); the first franchise (1996) distributing in Kent (outside the M25); the second franchise (1997) covering London South, East Surrey and West Kent; and the third franchise (1997) launched in Belfast and due to expand quickly to cover the whole of Northern Ireland. Parents News Group distributes 148,000 local copies. Readership figures are now 443,000. All the franchised editions enjoy instant acceptance and demand resulting in a difficulty of finding any copies for archive purposes! Larger advertisers have bought across the group, with more showing interest.
