Kids want to cook!

Lakeland are proud to announce that of their new range of I Can Cook merchandise is proving highly popular with customers and selling extremely well.  Inspired by the CBeebies show, Lakeland have created a whole host of kitchenware pieces that have been designed especially for little hands to get to grips with, but adults will find just as useful too. The most popular items from the range are the grater (especially designed for little hands to use safely) and the whisks in both sizes and designs.

Available in a range of fun, bright colours there are whisks, a rotary grater with measuring jug, spatulas, bowls and baking mats, so far the most popular colour from the spatula and baking mats is proving to be red.

Matthew Canwell, Lakeland’s Buying Director said “A lot of work has gone into getting the range just right for young children to use, and we’re really happy with the result. My own children loved testing the new range of ‘I Can Cook’ utensils.”

And Seema Khan, Regional Director at Endemol Worldwide Brands commented, “We are delighted to have worked with Lakeland on creating a range of practical kitchenware products that reflect the i can cook ethos of empowering young children to have fun and actively experiment with cooking.  A lot of work has gone into putting together a collection that not only looks fantastic but is also suitable for little hands so children can participate in every step of the cooking process themselves”.

And to compliment the range, the I Can Cook book, published by Hamlyn, is packed full of recipes from the TV series for young chefs to try.

The new range is available in store, online and in Lakeland catalogues. www.lakeland.co.uk/icancook
