Smurfs Lost Village at Bluewater. To promote the release of the new 3D film, Smurfs: The Lost Village, Bluewater will host the Smurfs Lost Village interactive stand, on the 18th March.  Shoppers will be able to meet and greet their favourite Smurf movie characters and have their photo taken with them, as well as receiving a free print and digital keepsake photo to take home. Children will also be able to play a variety of fun games, including a SmurfsGrabber Claw Game and a Wind Chamber/ Ball Catching Game, to win free merchandise from the movie.

WWT London Wetland Centre Saturday 25 February – Sunday 19 March Weekend family activities It’s a wonderful time of year to explore London Wetland Centre. Come and spot the first signs of spring and see which birds have returned from their winter ‘holiday’ in warmer climates.  Enjoy a pond dipping session to see what mini-beasts are about and join us for a nature walk.  Get creative with our nature crafts.

Mini Works Mini Rumpus returns this weekend to the secret tunnels under Waterloo Station. On Saturday 4th & Sunday 5th March (9.30am – 2pm) they are holding another immersive, carnival, family-extravaganza party!  Particularly aimed at under 11s, live music from band Tell Tale Tusk, flash mob dancing, dazzling circus acts, beatboxing performances, storytelling, drumming jam-sessions, chill out arts and craft zones A huge yurt for under 5s and crawlers with its own mini programme! Schools and Youth Groups Scarecrow Competition 2017. The great scarecrow competition returns again as part of this year’s Herald of Spring, 11 March 2017. Local primary schools and youth groups are invited to enter our competition and be inspired to create a scarecrow on this year’s theme of magic. See website for criteria.
