A special fair with a special cause

Over 50 local businesses are supporting the Papillon House School Spring Fair to help children with autism. Papillon House School in Tadworth is a special school for children with profound autism. Funds raised will go towards their Life Skills Project, to develop independence and vital life skills for the pupils.

The charity that supports the school, Friends of Papillon House , is run by a group of parents who are delighted by the response they have received from local businesses. Catherine Potter, Chairman of the charity said “ We are absolutely thrilled by the support we have received from local businesses. With only 32 pupils at the school we really do have to work extra hard to spread the word about our fundraising events . Basic life skills are vital for children with autism to develop for them to work towards independency in adulthood, so our project will enable them to learn cooking skills, gardening skills, self help, social interaction skills and much more”

The Spring Fair will take place on Saturday 18th May from 12-3pm at Papillon House School, Pebble Close, Tadworth, Surrey KT20 7PA. The fair will have something for everyone to enjoy with a grand charity raffle, bouncy castle, crafts, jewellery, gifts, home-made cakes, toys, tombolas, children’s activities and refreshments.

Come along and enjoy all the fun of the fair!
